Broccoli,mung bean,green peppercorn tikki

Feels great to be back after a long break from blogging. Here's a new recipe that came to mind while I was shopping at Lulu hypermarket. Found some lovely bright green Broccoli and tounge shivering Green pepper corns feels great after u bit into it ...


Ingredients
Broccoli- 200g , grated

Panner- 150g, grated
Mung Bean- 100g, par cooked for 5 miutes

Kasoori Methi (Dried Fenugreek leaves)- 1 tbsp
Fresh Cilantro- 2 tbsp, chopped
Fresh green peppercorns- 2 tbsp, roughly chopped

Shahi Jeera (Black Cumin)- 1 tsp, toasted an
d crushed
Salt- to taste
Vegetable oil- to shallow fry



Method
1.Boil Moong Dal in water with turmeric powder and a pinch of salt for about 5 minutes. Drain and pat dry in a towel.
2.Toast Shahi Jeera and Kasoori methi in a pan.
3.Grate Paneer and broccoli in a mixing bowl and add the blanched Moong dal, Chopped green peppercoens, cilantro and the spices, season and form into patties pressing between your palms.
4.Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry till crisp and golden brown on both sides.Serve hot.






Tips
1.Ensure to squeeze out excess moisture in the paneer and Dry the Moong dal completely before adding to the mixture.
2.Incase the mixture gets soggy add a couple of tablespoons of Besan (Chickpea flour) to bind the patties.
